Vendor and product type are how Shopify groups a catalog. They drive automated collection conditions, the filters in your admin, and the way sales reports break down.
After an import or a supplier rename you typically end up with two spellings of the same vendor, which splits every one of those groupings in half.
Merge duplicate vendor spellings before they split another report.

Automated collections built on a misspelled vendor keep working until someone corrects the spelling, at which point the collection empties. Fix the data first, then point the collection at the correct value.
The same applies to product type: settle the taxonomy, then build the storefront filters on top of it.
Use collection membership as the filter, combined with stock, tags and price.
